We are working with an exciting global fraud intelligence company who are looking to bring a talented Commercial Solicitor/Coporate Counsel into their growing team.

This exciting and varied role will involve the following key responsibilities:

  • Negotiate complex SaaS subscription and vendor agreements;
  • Support the client's intellectual property (IP) strategy;
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with respect to IP and data rights matters;
  • Provide information security guidance from a legal perspective globally, and stay abreast of developments in applicable regulations and best practices;
  • Establish and maintain a detailed knowledge of Pixalate’s commercial and technology development strategies globally;
  • Review and advise regarding commercial contracts, including online terms and conditions, privacy policies and other guidelines;
  • Conduct business partner qualification (BPQ) diligence;
  • Identify and address difficult problems that may not be solved using existing practices and procedures, including circumstances requiring one to respond/adapt to changing conditions or circumstances.

What we are looking for:
  • UK qualified solicitor with at least two years post-qualified experience (PQE);
  • Strong grounding in drafting and negotiating commercial software-as-a-service (SaaS) subscription agreements; and
  • Knowledge and experience regarding laws on data protection and privacy for residents of the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA), as well as regulations regarding the transfer of personal data outside of the EU and EEA.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and explain risks to the business brought about by IP- and data-related issues and develop and clearly articulate strategies for mitigating or addressing such risks;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented business environment;
  • Adept at aligning legal analysis to the business risks, taking care not to act in a one-size-fits-all manner;
  • Effective at monitoring, tracking, and communicating the status of pending legal projects;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting legal analyses and strategies to business and legal leadership;
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a highly-collaborative, international team;
  • A focus on client needs with a commitment to timing, quality and client service;
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize and follow through on numerous projects simultaneously; and
  • Ability to travel internationally as necessary (up to 20% of the time), and coordinate with colleagues across multiple time zones.
