Area Facilities Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to be responsible for the Summer turnaround of two stand-alone sites and it is the role of the Facilities Supervisor to ensure that our residents receive the best student experience possible when moving out, and moving in, whilst living with us.
This role is a 6 month fixed term contract starting as soon as possible.
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6pm
The varied role involves:
- Ensuring the sites are a safe environment in which to live and work.
- Ensuring a warm, welcoming environment to students, parents and visitors to the sites.
- Ensure the buildings are prepared and maintained to a high standard.
- The management of a large scale, multi-site, summer turnaround through contractors and the on-site FM staff.
- Undertaking the check-out inspections of bedrooms, cluster flats and apartments.
- Ensuring that fair and consistent charges are made across the sites, where bedrooms, cluster flats and apartments have been returned to CRM in an unacceptable condition.
- Recording inspections and updating a spreadsheet-based Building Management tracker.
- Working with the on-site FM team to instruct on all necessary summer painting and maintenance.
- Supporting the on-site maintenance operatives to complete any maintenance required in each room’s preparation
- Responsible for supervising the H&S compliance of any 3rd party contractors on site as part of the summer turnaround process.
- Establishing & maintaining the working relationships of any 3rd party contractors on site as part of the summer turnaround process.
- Allocating and signing off work completed by any 3rd party contractor.
- Ensuring that every room is locked and secured once signed off for its arrival date.
Skills & Attributes/ Personal Characteristics:
- Experienced in summer turnaround and large-scale building management.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Good level of computer literacy using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills displaying sensitivities to and understanding student needs.
- The ability to organise and meet deadlines and targets.
- Experience in facilities management, property management or hospitality sectors.
- Must be pro-active and able to use initiative to make the sites as best as possible.
